We just finished hosting a Traveling Art Show that began and will finish in Montreal. The title of the exhibition is “RECONCILIATION WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?”. There was a good turn out at the opening, and people were curious about the work and where it was going. Seven pieces were added to the exhibition in Belleville. This exhibition enables people who come into the space to talk about what Reconciliation means to them, time to create response art and have some uncomfortable dialogue. To find out more about the exhibition and where it is headed to next, check out the arthives.org website. Cheers!
Looking forward to catching up in the new year! Visit NEXTDOOR’S Facebook page to participate in the Photo Project – INSPIRED here
We are four weeks into the NEXTDOOR art group. The group is going great so far. There have been some wise, sensitive and creative people out to our group. We have had some insightful conversation about the poetry we are reading. The first few weeks we focused on watercolours and this past week we did some doodling. We look forward to sharing more posts.
After months of preparation the NEXTDOOR art group is at the fundraising stage and we are almost at our goal of raising $500.00 for the 8 week pilot project. I have set up a gofundme campaign for NEXTDOOR to help with raising the funds to get us started, by clicking on the gofundme campaign link you can find out more.
More updates to come as we will soon be setting our start date.
